The state of Kerala has seen finally seen the onset of Northeast Monsoon. Moreover, some rains have been observed over both Tamil Nadu as well as Kerala in the last 24 hours with a few heavy showers over isolated pockets.
In fact, in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Alappuzha saw 80 mm of rains, Kottayam 22 mm, Thiruvananthapuram 21 mm, Punalur 14 mm.
The state of Kerala is likely to see some good rains today and tomorrow more than rainfall activity over the state of Tamil Nadu.
These showers will be attributed to the Cyclonic Circulation which is over Lakshadweep and Comorin area. The system is not very well marked but is good enough to give some good showers over many parts of Kerala.
In the coming days, Kerala is expected to see some rains, mostly within light to moderate intensity. However, today and tomorrow, some showers will be on the heavier side over Alappuzha, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Wayanad etc. in view of the upcoming system. Thereafter, rains will see a reduction
