Northeast India weather to remain dry and foggy

January 3, 2016 4:48 PM | Skymet Weather Team

A small circulation continues to persist over a portion of Northeast India. No significant weather activity was observed in the region on account of this system.

Mainly dry and foggy weather conditions have been prevailing in this part of the country since last few days. Light moist winds have led to fog in the region.

The day temperature over the region is expected to settle above normal at most places. Minimums are likely to be recorded close to the normal. Partly cloudy conditions are expected to linger and will be accompanied by a gentle breeze.

As mentioned, no rain has been observed in the region since past few days. The absence of any significant weather system or a passing Western Disturbance has kept temperatures in the region above normal.

No rain is expected during the next 24 hours and conditions over Northeast India will remain mostly dry. A few clouds may gather from time to time but won't give any rain. Dry weather conditions combined with foggy mornings are likely at various places in the region.
