Northeastern parts of the country have been seeing some good rainfall activities in the past 24 hours. Moreover, in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Majbat 15 mm, Guwahati 6 mm, Lengpui 6 mm, Lumding 4 mm, Tezpur 3 mm, Chaparmukh 1 mm.
Southwest Monsoon has made an onset over Kerala, and many parts of Bay of Bengal. A Circulation is floating around Northeast Bay of Bengal, making conditions favourable for more rains and the arrival of Monsoon.
In view of that, rains may increase over the eastern half including Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura thereafter increasing to other parts including Assam.
We can expect heavy rains after three to four days, which may continue for a while. In fact, with Monsoon already having made an onset, we can expect the arrival over Northeast India also anytime soon.
