The minimum temperatures have once again dipped over many parts of the North Indian Plains. The temperature fluctuation continues over the northern plains with a see-saw in the minimums. As far as the rainfall is concerned, there has not been any, at least over the plains.
In some places, minimum temperatures are even below 5° celsius. Cities include Pathankot, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Ferozepore, Amritsar, Churu, Bikaner, and Karnal. These places have seen a massive plunge.
This level will not sustain for long and after tomorrow, temperatures are expected to rise once again. Both the drop and the rise are on account of the arrival and passage of Western Disturbances. Now, due to the passage of the present western disturbance, the minimum temperature has fallen and with the arrival of a new one around February 15, temperature would once again witness a rise.
