The Western Disturbance lying in Jammu & Kashmir at present has brought good amounts of snow and rain in North India. As predicted by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the system affected weather in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi/NCR and west Uttar Pradesh.
Few places in Jammu & Kashmir have been receiving heavy rain and snow since the past two days. Few places like Banihal, Batote, Bhadrawah, Kupwara and Qazigund received 40 mm to 80 mm of rain and snow.
According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh have also been receiving rain. The spell of rain will reduce but last for another 24 hours. There are chances of sporadic rain in Delhi/NCR as well.

In South India, places like Bangalore, Bijapur, Ramagundam and Kalingapatnam received light rain. The extensive rainfall activity over Maharashtra and adjoining areas will relent by the 13th of March. There will be a complete lull in terms of weather for the next two days.
Another fresh Western Disturbance is on its way and would affect the western Himalayan region of Jammu & Kashmir and the northern plains from the 15th of March. Skymet Meteorology Division in India will keep the readers updated about its progress in the coming days.
