Most parts of Central India have witnessed heat wave to severe heat wave conditions since last week of March. Scattered pre-monsoon activities over Northwest and North India have marginal impact over Central India as well. Temperatures have dropped to some extent leading to the abatement of severe heat wave conditions.
Weather of Northwest India will clear up again and temperatures are going to increase over most parts of Northwest and northern plains. Heat wave will make a comeback over most parts of Rajasthan, parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Isolated pockets of these States may witness severe heat wave.
There is a silver lining as parts of Gujarat and Maharashtra may receive scattered thunderstorm or light rain between April 20 and 21st. Eastern and southern districts of Gujarat along with North Madhya Maharashtra and parts of West Vidarbha may experience pre-monsoon weather activities. Maximum temperatures may drop by 2 to 3 degrees during that period. This relief will be short lived, and temperatures will head north once again.
