The severe heatwave conditions have already gripped West Rajasthan and few parts of Gujarat. The maximums across these states are settling well above the 40-degree mark thereby making the weather conditions over both the states extremely hot and uncomfortable.
Day temperatures in the last few days have climbed mountains settling between 41°C and 43°C in both Gujarat and Rajasthan. Some places have also been reaching up to 40-degree mark.
As per Skymet Weather, the southwesterly winds from Central Rajasthan and Pakistan are blowing over these regions leading the maximums to mount several notches above the normal. Even in the last 24 hours, the day temperatures across most parts of both the state settled at least 5 to 7 degrees beyond their normals in Rajasthan while it was 3 to 5 degrees in most parts of Gujarat.
Moreover, the absence of any significant weather system is also a major contributing factor for the prevailing heatwave conditions across parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Moreover, similar weather conditions are expected to continue over most parts of Gujarat and West Rajasthan for the next 3-4 days. This will further lead the heatwave conditions to grip some more regions of the state. Thus, there is no respite foreseen as of now.
