The city of Ahmedabad has been seeing some rains for the past few days. In fact, yesterday only, Ahmedabad recorded 3 mm of rainfall. The Indian Premier League which is all set to begin today in Ahmedabad will thankfully be free from any rainfall activity.
During the month of March, Ahmedabad is generally supposed to be dry. However, this year, the city has recorded 11 mm of rains, which is the highest since 2015. As it is, the average rains for Ahmedabad stand at 1.1 mm of rains and most of the times, rainfall tends to remain absent from the city.
Coming to the inaugural game, the first match will be played between the Gujarat Titans, who were the champions last year and the Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The weather is likely to be free of rainfall unlike yesterday. Temperatures will be in the comfortable range and the full session is likely to go on.
