During the last few days, weather conditions had remained warm during the day for several parts of Northwest India with maximums settling way above the normal levels.
In fact, the nights were also comfortable with the minimums being around 6-7 degrees above normal levels at many places.
These weather conditions were attributed to the presence of the induced cyclonic circulation along with southwesterly winds which were leading to increase temperatures. Due to the system, some rains were also recorded over parts of the North Indian plains.
However, now the circulation is fading away. Thus, during the next 24 to 48 hours, the wind pattern will change from southwesterly to northwesterly. Thus, minimum temperatures are expected to witness a slight drop. Thus, the minimums which were settling 5 to 7 degrees above the normal levels will drop down by 3 to 4 degrees.
However, the winter chill is not likely to make a comeback and nights will only get cooler in the northern plains of the country. As far as the days are concerned, weather conditions will remain comfortable and the temperatures will continue to settle above the normal levels.
