Since last 48 to 36 hours, dry weather has been continuing over the state of Uttar Pradesh. In fact, in the presence of dry and cold northwesterly winds, temperatures over the state have decreased significantly and the state is observing chilly cold mornings and nights along with pleasant days.
According to the data for past 24 hours, Agra has recorded its minimum at 3.2℃, which is below normal by 6℃. Aligarh has recorded 5.6℃ of minimum, which is below normal by 2℃. Minimum at Prayagraj has been recorded at 12.1℃, while 11.2℃ temperature was recorded over Bahraich. Minimums are also below normal by 3℃ over Bareilly and have been recorded at 6.3℃.
According to Skymet Weather, a feeble Western Disturbance is moving across the eastern parts of Jammu & Kashmir. In wake of this, Northwest Uttar Pradesh might experience short spells of light rain at some places such as Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Najibabad, Pilibhit, Bareilly and Badaun during the next 6 to 12 hours.
In addition to above system, a Trough is also moving across the state. This Trough will bring spells of light rain and thundershower over southeastern parts of Uttar Pradesh such as Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Gazipur, Banaras, Sonbhadra, Jaunpur, Ambedkar nagar during next 12 to 18 hours. Thereafter, sky conditions will become mainly clear and northwesterly winds will continue over the entire region. Further, morning hours would observe shallow to moderate fog at some places. However, days will remain pleasant and comfortable over the state.
