Next 24 hours might bring scattered rain in Hyderabad, Telangana

Southwest Monsoon ended with 24% surplus rain for Telangana as the state received frequent rain activities throughout the Monsoon season. But after the withdrawal of Monsoon, the state has gone dry.

In the post-Monsoon season of the month of October only scanty rains have occurred in Telangana. Moreover, the rain deficiency in the month of October is 81%. Northwest Monsoon is about to set in, but this does not bring much relief for Telangana as the state does not receive any good rains during this Monsoon season.

Now, we expect scattered rains to occur over Telangana for the next 24 to 48 hours. These rains will be due to a Confluence Zone amalgamation by approaching dry and humid winds. Dry winds will be coming from Northeast direction joined by humid Southeasterly winds arising from Bay of Bengal. This will lead to formation of clouds and subsequent rainfall.

These rains will be patchy and light and last for a very short duration. Temperatures may decrease by a few degrees, but we do not expect much improvement in rain deficiency. Moreover, drought like conditions might persist over the state. After this rain episode is over, weather is expected to remain dry throughout the month.
