December 26, 2021 4:06 PM |

Minimums of Northwest and central India is on rise since last few days. A series of Western disturbance have been approaching Western Himalayas which has obstructed the flow of cold north westerly winds. Minimums are expected to remain above normal until December 28 over most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Rain activities and cloud cover along with easterly winds will not allow minimums to drop. However, day temperatures drop by 2 to 3 degrees until December 28. After the passage of Western disturbance and rain activities normal flow of dry and cold north westerly winds will resume.

Minimums will once again nosedive across northwest and Central India. There may be a drop of 3 to 5 degrees between December 29 and 31st. Cold wave conditions will make a comeback over parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Parts of Rajasthan may witness freezing temperatures by end of the month. Churu, Sikar and Bhilwara may once again witness subzero temperature. Ground frost is also possible over parts of north and Central India.
