Nepal Earthquake (In Pictures): Before and After Images of Nepal's Iconic Buildings

The devastating earthquake in Nepal not only claimed the lives of thousands of people, but destroyed several buildings as well as temples, including UNESCO world heritage sites. The world renowned Dharahara tower, which was built in 1832 was destroyed minutes after an earthquake of magnitude 7.9 hit the capital city of Kathmandu. The World Heritage Site, Kathmandu Durbar Square was also converted into ruins due to the massive quake. Here’s a look at the before and after images of some of these iconic buildings in Nepal.
