The state of Andhra Pradesh has remained dry for the last few days. While the city did record a few rainy spells during the first few days of November due to the low-pressure area which had caused heavy rains over Coastal Tamil Nadu, rains have taken a complete backseat.
So much so that during the last 24 hours the entire state including the interior as well as the coastal parts witnessed no rains whatsoever.
However, good rains are all set to make an appearance over the coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh. So much so that moderate to heavy rains may make an appearance over the region.

Presently, a low-pressure area lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal. Along with this an associated upper air cyclonic circulation is extending up to 7.6 km. This system will move north northwestwards gradually. Not only this, warm and humid winds from the Bay of Bengal will increase clouding over the region.
Thus, moderate to heavy rainfall activity is expected to occur over coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh between November 13 and 17. A few areas may also record very heavy spells during the same time period. Cities including Nellore, Bapatla, Machilipatnam, and Ongole may see a few very heavy spells of rainfall.
