While June may have not been the best performing rainfall month for Madhya Maharashtra, July sure has brought some good news. On and off rain has been continuing over many parts of the state.

In fact, these rains have picked up pace during the last 48 hours and good rainfall activity has been recorded over many parts of the Madhya Maharashtra sub division. Out of all the cities, Nashik has been one city which has been receiving good rains during the last two days.

While the city received a good 79 mm of rain, a day before, helping Nashik reach its monthly rainfall amount in just ten days, a whopping 155 mm of rainfall has been recorded during the last few hours between 8:30 am on Sunday and 5:30 am on Monday.
This rainfall figure is also the highest 24-hour rainfall amount in a decade. With this, the monthly rainfall record has reached to 351 mm of rain which is also the highest monthly rainfall in a decade.

For the past few days, Nashik and other parts of Madhya Maharashtra have been receiving subdued rains. So much so that Madhya Maharashtra is the only sub division to have recorded deficit rains at -10 percent. Now, during the next 24 hours, good rains are likely to continue over Nashik and other sub divisions.
