Weather of entire Maharashtra is dry since the last few days. A similar condition is for the capital city, Mumbai. However, isolated rainy spells occurred over the Vidarbha region in Yeotmal in the last 24 hours while, parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Konkan & Goa remained dry.
As per Skymet Weather, now, light to moderate spells are expected over the Vidarbha and North Madhya Maharashtra region. Moreover, isolated spells can be expected over Marathwada region for the next 24 to 48 hours. On the other hand, the weather of Marathwada, Konkan & Goa and South Madhya Maharashtra will remain dry.

The reason for these rains as explained by Skymet Weather is the likelihood of a development of a trough from Odisha coast to Marathwada region. This weather system is expected to result in light rains over Vidarbha and Marathwada regions. However, the other regions will remain dry.

Thus, the stations such as Nagpur, Akola, Wardha, Chandrapur, Nashik, Aurangabad and Malegaon are likely to receive light rains. While, the weather of Pune, Mumbai, Sangli, Satara, and Kolhapur ware anticipated to remain dry.
Additionally, the daytime high in most parts of Maharashtra is expected to settle between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius resulting in hot afternoons while the minimums may settle around 24-26 degrees Celsius leading to comfortable nights.
