Nagpur set to witness dry and warm days

The dry weather has not only enveloped the northern states of the country but even the central parts of the country are reeling under warm and dry weather conditions. This is basically due to an absence of any significant weather system across the region that Maharashtra along with Vidarbha has failed to observe rains.

As the minimum temperatures across Vidarbha including Nagpur were settling 2-3°C below normal, these regions were relishing cool mornings and nights. This has given some respite from the warm weather that people residing in these regions were experiencing.

However, as per Skymet Weather, now, due to the commencement of warm southwesterly winds, maximum temperatures in the Vidarbha region along with Nagpur has already risen marginally. Minimums on the other hand also witnessed a rise by 2-3°C. These temperatures are expected to witness a further scaling up.

In fact, in last 24 hours as well, the minimums in Nagpur settled at 16.4°C which was a degree above the normal level.

Moreover, as a trough has formed from North Interior Karnataka to Central Madhya Pradesh, isolated light rains are expected to show up in North Vidarbha region, though, Nagpur is still expected to remain dry. However, due to an increase in the moisture level, the city is likely to witness partly cloudy sky.

As these southerly and southwesterly winds will contribute in increasing the moisture level, afternoons across Nagpur will be warm and humid. Hence, the city has to brace for some unsettled and discomforting weather conditions.
