During the last 24 hours, light spells of rain have been recorded in one or two pockets of Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, the weather of Vidarbha remained dry and warm. Meanwhile, a variation was seen in the temperature pattern of Madhya Pradesh, wherein northern parts were dry and comfortable, on the contrary, South Madhya Pradesh experienced dry and warm weather with partly cloudy sky conditions.

At present, the wind confluence zone is extending from Gangetic West Bengal to Vidarbha across Chhattisgarh. An upper air Cyclonic Circulation is developing over Vidarbha and adjoining region. Due to these systems, Vidarbha and South Chhattisgarh will experience light to moderate rain and thundershowers during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, South Madhya Pradesh may observe light spells of rain and thundershowers.

After 24 hours, the intensity of rain will increase slightly and the weather activities may cover some more parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region. These weather conditions may occur as a result of southeasterly winds which may lead to an increase in moisture concentration.

Places like Nagpur, Gondia, Akola, Amravati, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Shahdol, Seoni, Jagdalpur, Durg, etc will experience rain and thundershowers.

On the other hand, the northern parts of Chhattisgarh, as well as Madhya Pradesh, will remain mostly dry for at least next two to three days.
