A Western Disturbance is over East Tibetan region. This system is likely to move gradually eastwards. Along with this system, an induced upper air cyclonic circulation has formed over northeastern parts of Bangladesh and adjoining parts of Assam. This system is also expected to move east-northeastwards slowly.

Due to the presence of these weather features, cloudy sky conditions will prevail during the next 24 hours. Light rain is possible during this time period, particularly over the northern districts of Nagaland such as Mon, Longleng, Mokokchung and Tuensang.

The intensity of rain would be light. Hence, we do not expect any inconvenience due to these rains. During that time, due to rain and cloud cover, the day temperatures may drop marginally, i.e., by 2  to 3 degrees Celsius.

After 24 hours, the clouding is expected to decrease and dry weather will prevail. Days will be pleasant and nights would remain cold. Also, maximum temperatures are expected to mount, while minimums will drop marginally.
