Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bulandshehar, Bijnore to witness rains

Dry and warm weather conditions are being witnessed by Uttar Pradesh, since last few days.

Within the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday, Agra recorded its maximum temperature at 39.3, Aligarh 38.0, Allahabad 41.3, Bahraich 37.6, Bareilly 37.7, Fursatganj 39.6, Gorakhpur 38.3, Hardoi 38.4, Kanpur 39.6, Lucknow 39.6.

During the next 24 hours, we expect scattered rain and thundershower activity with isolated dust storm over western parts of Uttar Pradesh. Temperatures are expected to remain warm.

At present most of the state is experiencing near normal day and night temperatures. However, few districts of Southwest Uttar Pradesh have recorded marginally above normal temperatures.

Now as we are in the pre-monsoon season, therefore, dust storm and thunderstorm activity with isolated thundershowers will continue till first half of June.

The present scenario of pre-monsoon activity will be due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and Haryana and the trough which is extending up to western parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Weather of eastern parts of the state will remain dry and warm. We expect rains and thundershowers over Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bulandshehar, Hathras, Hardoi and Bijnore. Lucknow and adjoining areas may also receive some rainfall activity.

Weather of Allahabad, Varanasi and Gorakhpur is expected to remain dry and warm.
