The well marked low pressure area has now intensified into a depression. The system is currently seen over west-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast. Thus, the system has been giving good rains over the East Coast as well as West Bengal.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, moderate to heavy rains with isolated heavy showers are expected over the states of Odisha as well as Gangetic West Bengal. Kolkata will also witness good rains during this period. These rains will continue for another 24 to 48 hours.
