MUST WATCH: Possible Track of Cyclone Ockhi in 5 seconds

The weather system in the Bay of Bengal has been brewing for quite some time now. So much so that the prevailing system has undergone several intensification for the longest time. After being a depression until yesterday, the weather system intensified into a deep depression.

The weather system is currently seen over Comorin area and adjoining region and has become a cyclonic storm Ockhi and may even intensify into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours.

When the system intensifies into a severe cyclone, it will have moved towards the Arabian Sea. Thus, heavy to very heavy rains are expected to continue over southern parts of Tamil Nadu as well as Kerala. However, the system will move away from the region and rains will reduce thereafter.
