Must Watch: Cyclone Kyant cloud build up in 5 seconds

The deep depression over east-central Bay of Bengal that intensified into a cyclonic storm Kyant on Tuesday morning is steadily moving in west-southwest direction towards Andhra Pradesh coast. Cyclone Kyant is the first cyclone of the season to develop in Indian sea of Bay of Bengal.

The cyclone which was earlier heading towards Myanmar and was expected to affect Odisha is now expected to make a landfall near Andhra Pradesh.

The storm is strengthening slowly and will continue to do so in next few days. Due to the weather system, chances of moderate rain are likely in parts of Andhra Pradesh coast from October 27- October 29. Locally damaging winds with gusts over 50 mph are also possible.
