Bangalore rains have been lashing the capital city of Karnataka since last night. These weather conditions can be attributed to cyclone Vardah which hit near Chennai yesterday and now has weakened into a depression. The city has received record breaking rains which is unusual for the city during this time of the year.
During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Bangalore Airport has received 69 mm of rain, while the city has witnessed 60.8 mm of rainfall. More rains are expected to be observed over the city during the next few hours.
