July 11, 2020 8:49 AM | Skymet Weather Team

For the last three days, Mumbai and suburbs are receiving light to moderate patchy showers. The offshore trough which was responsible for good rains as well as well marked low has weakened.

We do not expect any significant increase in rain activities over Mumbai and suburbs for another 48 hours. Thereafter, a cyclonic circulation is expected to form at around 5.4 kms above mean sea level around July 13.

Rain activities are expected to increase from the night of July 12 and may continue on and off until July 14. During this period, we do not expect heavy rain and thundershower over Mumbai and suburbs. Many parts of Mumbai and suburbs will experience moderate showers only.

These rain activities will not lead to waterlogging or disruption to normal day to day life. There may be some relief from ongoing surgery sultry weather during this period.
