Light Mumbai rains to continue for some more time

The maximum city of Mumbai had been witnessing a marginal increase in the night temperatures over the last few days. As on January 23, Mumbai settled with a minimum of 19°C and maximum of 31.5°C, resulting in warm and uneasy nights.

However, last 24 hours saw a steep drop in the night temperatures and on Thursday morning, minimums settled at 15.1°C.

As per Skymet Weather, the Western Disturbance, as well as the induced cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas, has been restricting the flow of cool winds, due to which minimums were not falling.  Now, both the systems have moved away, and the cold northerly winds have once again resumed over the western parts of the country including North Maharashtra.

Therefore, the minimum temperatures of Mumbai are expected to fall further on January 25.

The night temperatures are expected to settle in the range of 15°C to 17°C. Weather during the morning and night hours are expected to be comfortable and pleasant. However, the weather during the day will continue to remain warm but humidity would reduce. These winds from the north are dry in nature and thus, reducing the humidity.  The maximum temperatures would continue to settle between 32°C and 34°C.

It is anticipated that rain would not make an appearance during the remaining days of January as well. Hence, warm weather conditions are in the forecast for the Mumbaikars during the day. However, low minimums might give some relief now.
