As per Skymet Meteorology Division in India, light rain is likely to continue over Mumbai for another 24 to 48 hours. Thereafter, the sky will become partly cloudy. Also, relief from hot weather conditions will continue to persist.

Updated on November 21, 2015: After prolong dry spell, rains have finally made appearance in Mumbai on November 21. Light to moderate showers have been recorded on Saturday afternoon over several parts of the capital city.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, rainy spell is here to stay. The activity is expected to continue for another two days.

As per Skymet, a trough is running along the West Coast that has caused the rainfall activity over the coastal city. Mumbai had last recorded rainfall on October 26.

These showers will bring much-needed relief from hot and humid weather conditions and pleasant weather will prevail over Mumbai. As a result maximum temperatures that have been settling in mid-30s, will now register significant drop by four to five degrees. Moreover, change in wind pattern will also bring the cooler effect.

On Saturday, we expect day temperature to settle around 32°C. It will continue to settle in early 30s for next two days as well.

The weather system will also give rain over parts of Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining Marathwada region. Places such as Nagpur and Nashik will receive some showers during the weekend.
