Updated on November 25, 2015: After a good spell of rain, Mumbai is likely to witness dry weather conditions during the next 48 hours or so. Patchy clouds might be seen from time to time, but no major weather activity is expected.
Day conditions will remain sultry and a little uncomfortable. However, evenings will be much cooler and a light sea breeze will result in comfortable conditions over the city.
Updated on November 23, 2015: Mumbai continued to receive scattered light to moderate showers during last 48 hours. As the rainfall is patchy in nature, one or two places recorded good rain and thundershowers, whereas some places recorded relatively less rain.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the rain activity is expected to continue for at least another two days.
With this, Mumbaikars will continue to enjoy pleasant weather conditions for few more days as day temperatures will settle in lower 30s.
Updated on November 22, 2015: After a long wait, Mumbaikars have finally enjoyed a rainy weekend. The city was reeling under sultry and humid conditions as no weather activity was affecting the commercial capital of India.
As per Skymet Meteorology Division in India, light rain is likely to continue over Mumbai for another 24 to 48 hours. Thereafter, the sky will become partly cloudy. Also, relief from hot weather conditions will continue to persist.
For the next few days, mornings will be pleasant and the day temperatures will be on the lower side. Scattered rain has already brought down the temperatures in Mumbai and the situation is likely to be the same for a few more days.
Updated on November 21, 2015: After prolong dry spell, rains have finally made appearance in Mumbai on November 21. Light to moderate showers have been recorded on Saturday afternoon over several parts of the capital city.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, rainy spell is here to stay. The activity is expected to continue for another two days.
As per Skymet, a trough is running along the West Coast that has caused the rainfall activity over the coastal city. Mumbai had last recorded rainfall on October 26.
These showers will bring much-needed relief from hot and humid weather conditions and pleasant weather will prevail over Mumbai. As a result maximum temperatures that have been settling in mid-30s, will now register significant drop by four to five degrees. Moreover, change in wind pattern will also bring the cooler effect.
On Saturday, we expect day temperature to settle around 32°C. It will continue to settle in early 30s for next two days as well.
The weather system will also give rain over parts of Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining Marathwada region. Places such as Nagpur and Nashik will receive some showers during the weekend.
