As per Skymet Weather, since the beginning of the month the maximum temperatures have been above normal by 2°C to 3°C, over Mumbai. Similarly, the minimum temperatures are also marginally above normal.

Whereas, the last week of February witnessed hot weather conditions when the day temperatures reached up to 37°C to 38°C which was 5°C to 7°C above normal.

Thanks to the cool winds from the north which are not allowing the temperature to increase over Mumbai. The Western Disturbance and its induced cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan area were obstructing the flow of cool winds. Thereafter, when the system moved away around March 4, wind pattern changed again resulting in the inflow of cool northerly winds.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, day and night temperatures of Mumbai will remain unchanged for at least next three to four days. No significant change is expected in the temperature profile of Mumbai. The maximums will continue to settle above normal by 2°C to 3°C, between 33°C and 34°C.

The minimum temperatures will range between 20°C and 22°C and will also be slightly above normal. However, nights will be pleasant while the weather during the day will be warm and sunny. Due to Mumbai being a coastal station, the humidity will prevail.

Therefore, Mumbaikars can heave a sigh of relief as the hot weather conditions will not reappear over the city for a week.
