As far as the last ten years are concerned, there hasn't been significant rains in May. Moreover, there have been times when rains have been nil as well. Most of the time, either there is no rains or simply traces of rains. The only exception is May 2021, which saw record rains of 256 mm, and that was also because of Cyclone Tauktae crossing abeam Mumbai.
Talking about the present scenario, rains in Mumbai are not expected to make a significant appearance. However, around June 1-3, some light rains along with clouding may be seen over some parts of the city of Mumbai. Rains will be patchy in nature and will be of short duration. These activities will not be very intense and very little change in the air will be seen as the Monsoon pulse is very weak.
