At this stage, let us look at the consequences of weather on agriculture:
In view of the expected cloudy weather in Konkan, farmers are advised to take care of Mango and Cashew nut crops against pest infestation and blooming. Farmers are also recommended to look after the summer pulses crop.
Moreover, it is advised that the farmers should complete the sowing and transplanting of Summer Rice and Groundnut crop and irrigate the early sown Rice & Groundnut crops.
For Farmers in Marathwada, it is suggested to complete harvesting of matured Jowar, Bengal Gram/Chana, Safflower and early sown Wheat crop. Threshing the matured crop and keeping them in gunny bags at the dry place is advisable to the farmers. As the Wheat crop is in the grain-filling stage, it is recommended to the farmers to apply irrigation.
