Mumbai weather usually remains dry between the months of January and April. In fact, even if the city receives some rains it is nothing more than about a millimeter during a month. As far as mild winters are concerned, these conditions last over the city of Mumbai until the mid of January and start to recede thereafter.

The month of February sees signs of warming, while temperatures soar significantly in March as the thick of summers begin for Mumbai during that time. Currently, temperatures have been on the higher side.

However, till February 22, maximum temperature of Santa Cruz in Mumbai was seen in the lower 30s whereas, on February 23 it reached 35°C and since then the temperatures have been settling in higher 30s only. Now, the departure from normal is also 6°C.

Meanwhile, being a coastal station, humidity levels are already high and now the combination of high temperatures and high humidity levels have made the weather unbearable. The level of discomfort has increased to very high.

The hot weather conditions are expected to continue over Mumbai and nearby areas. We do not expect any kind of relief from these sultry weather conditions in the upcoming days.

Mumbai has not received any rainfall in the month of February. Normal rainfall for the month of February for Mumbai is 1.3mm. Light rain activities are expected over parts of Maharashtra especially over Vidarbha from March 7 or 8.

During this period winds over Mumbai will be going from southwest direction. These humid winds from Arabian Sea will help in reducing maximums to some extent and Mumbai may get some relief from this burning hot weather.
