Mumbai rains Update: Three digit rains of 134 mm lash Mumbai, rainy weekend may cause water logging

Mumbai Rains are back again and that too with a bang. The city of dreams has been witnessing some heavy rains since the last 24 hours. In fact, rains have been a continuous affair since yesterday with heavy rains causing water logging in many parts.

In fact, as Skymet Weather had reiterated, three digit rains did lash the city in the past 24 hours with Santa Cruz recording 134 mm of rainfall. On the other hand, Colaba recorded 54 mm of heavy showers.

Saturday morning has also begun on a rainy note for the city of Mumbai with heavy showers continuing over many parts. In fact, as per our weathermen, Mumbai rains will continue through the day with short breaks in between. Heavy rains will be seen with the possibility of three digit rains today as well.

Mumbai rains may be seen tomorrow as well, and rains are expected to be in three digits then. Water logging will be seen in many parts of the city. In fact, traffic jams will be a regular affair this weekend in view of the rains.

The monthly mean for August in terms of rain for Mumbai is 585.2 mm of rains and so far the city has seen 190 mm of rainfall. It looks like, in the next two days, Mumbai will surely see more than half the monthly rains.
