The city of Mumbai has been witnessing rains of varied intensity for the past few days with some really intense spells of rains. Moreover, the city saw very heavy rains during the weekend wherein the city saw 219 mm of rainfall in just a span of 24 hours.
Water logging and hefty showers had become to be a concern starting Friday evening itself with commuters finding very difficult to reach homes. In fact, it took some office goers 4-5 hours to get home because of such intense showers and traffic jams.
There were flight diversions and delays as well due to runway having water inundation. Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, few spells of moderate to intense rains are expected to be seen over many parts of Malad, Borivali, Goregaon, Vasai, Virar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Ulhas Nagar and Thane. In fact, residents can also be expecting water logging and tough time for commuters during the coming next 2-3 hours.
Thus, office commuters may have some trouble in coming back home as rains may be intense in many parts.
