It is anticipated that widespread rain activities will pick up the pace by today evening. These rainfall activities will continue until Sunday. As per Skymet Weather, it is expected that the commercial capital may receive moderate Monsoon showers at many places while isolated heavy rains cannot be ruled out as well.

Strong gusty wind with thunderstorm activities is also expected over the area. These rainfall activities can be attributed to a trough which is extending from central parts of Arabian Sea to North Madhya Maharashtra across North Konkan region. Another trough is extending from Madhya Maharashtra to south Tamil Nadu which will give rains over Mumbai.
