The weather of entire Maharashtra remained nearly dry during the last 24 hours. However, isolated light rains occurred over North Konkan and Goa and South Madhya Maharashtra such as Sangli, Dahanu and Matheran.
At present, there is no significant weather system in the vicinity of Maharashtra, thus we do not expect any significant rainfall activity in the state. However, there may be isolated light rain coupled with partly cloudy to cloudy sky conditions in parts of Madhya Maharashtra and in one or two pockets of Marathwada within the next 24 hours.
Places like Pune, Aurangabad, Sangli, and Satara would be the ones to witness these activities.
The rainfall activities are further likely to increase in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and parts of Marathwada between October 5 and 8. However, heavy rains are ruled out and showers would mainly be scattered and light to moderate in intensity.
Places like Nashik, Solapur, and Parbhani may observe a few good spells of rain during this period.
Mumbai rains would also slightly increase with chances of light showers along with one or two short spells of moderate rain between October 5 and 7.
These rains would provide relief from hot and uneasy weather conditions and the weather would become comfortable and pleasant around Dussehra.
