The city of Mumbai has seen very little rain for the past few days. In fact, August has been not been extremely heavy except the one single digit rain episode around August 9. While it has been raining almost everyday, the typical Mumbai rains seem to be missing.
Usually, August is fairly rainy with the monthly mean around 585 mm, and so far the capital city of Maharashtra has not been able to surpass that and has seen 536 mm rain so far. All in all, August has not been bad per se but the month has not been eventful as such.
In the next one week or so, we can expect light rains with one or two moderate spells may be seen. The fag end of August is expected to see around single digit rainfall and may be a couple of double digit showers.
