Mumbai rains to remain on the lighter side for next few days

June 13, 2022 6:22 PM |

Southwest Monsoon has made an appearance over Mumbai and during the last three days of Monsoon, Mumbai has recorded a total of 79 mm of rains. There is a long way to go as the normal is 493.1 mm of rains for June, and we have not even received one fifth of the normal.

However, it is not unusual and at times Monsoon takes a few slow strides, which is the case in the next few days as well. Rains in the coming days are expected to be on the lighter side. Isolated places may see some moderate spells of rains, otherwise generally, rains will be lighter only.

Around June 17 and 18, due to the development of an off shore trough along the coast, an incremental pace of rains is expected to be seen and rainfall will begin to increase around June 19 and 20, wherein heavy rains may be seen.

For the next few days, breeze will persist and weather may be pleasant. However, in the absence of significant rains, humidity may see an increase.
