Mumbai rains have gone light and Colaba has recorded only 0.4 mm, while Santa Cruz 0.2 mm of rain in a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday.
According to our meteorologists, a Well Marked Low-Pressure Area is over the Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining parts of the Gulf of Kutch.
In the wake of this system, moist winds are diverting towards Gujarat. Its influence would be seen over Mumbai as well in the form of warm and humid weather along with light breeze and short spell of light rain. Sky would also be cloudy. All these weather conditions are likely during the next 24 to 36 hours.
Meanwhile, the day temperatures would settle between 29 to 31 degree Celcius while night temperatures around 25 degree Celcius.
After 24 to 36 hours, a slight increase in the rainfall intensity is anticipated and Mumbai and suburbs may receive moderate spells of rain.
Places like Colaba, Malad, Mulund, Dadar, Andheri including suburbs such as Ratnagiri and Alibag may witness rain and thundershower activities during this episode.
Due to good amounts of rainfall, the region of Konkan and Goa including the dream city Mumbai is standing rain surplus at 53%, as per the rainfall data from June 1 to September 28.
