Mumbai rains which were on the backseat have made a comeback as the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi came into play. In fact, it has been two days that the city has been seeing hefty showers of three digit of rainfall activity.
Moreover, since the morning hours, rains in Mumbai have been non-stop and it does not look like the rains are in any mood to cease. As per weathermen at Skymet, Mumbai rains will continue today as well. Showers will remain heavy and another three-digit rainy episode is on the cards for the maximum city.
There may be very short breaks in between but evening hours will see showers being on the heavier side only causing Mumbaikars to face trouble while reaching back home. Water logging and traffic chaos will be accompanied disrupting the daily lives of the people in the city.
Due to heavy rains, several flights at the Mumbai airport have been delayed while schools across the city remain closed in view of these hefty showers. Ola, Uber surge has been seen with residents of the city facing trouble reaching work.
Due to heavy rain and poor visibility, mainline suburban trains running 10 to 12 minutes late and Harbour Line trains are running 10 minutes late.
In a nutshell, heavy Mumbai rains will continue to cause chaos in the city for the third consecutive day with the possibility of three digit rains in many parts of Mumbai. Moreover, Skymet advises residents to stay at home and not step out unless really necessary.
