Mumbai rains that have been between moderate to heavy in the last couple of days are all set to relative ease now. The most active spell that had been lashing the region, seems to be over.

There is a shear line across parts of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. A low-pressure area over the East Madhya Pradesh region persists and circulation is over the Gujarat region. With this, Mumbai will continue to have intermittent moderate showers for the next 48 hours but will remain confined within 50 mm of rain. Today and tomorrow, rains will be seen more towards the evening hours and surface winds will be very strong.

After that, rain activity will ease out to the extent when only a few showers will be seen on some occasions. Such conditions will be seen for the subsequent four to five days.
