Mumbai weather has taken a pleasant turn during the last few days. After remaining significantly warm and dry for quite some time, Mumbai rains have made a comeback. So much so that the residents have been enjoying those droplets of Pre-Monsoon showers.
The last 24 hours were no different and the Santa Cruz observatory in Mumbai witnessed 0.4 mm of rainfall. The last few days have not been as rainy for the city, but the coming days have quite enough rains for the maximum city.
Mumbai had remained dry for a long time. In fact, before May 13, the city had not received rains since October 2016. On May 13, the city of dreams recorded light rains. While dry days were observed thereafter, rains did make an appearance.

Southwest Monsoon 2017 has already made an appearance over Kerala and conditions are favourable for further advancement of Monsoon over more parts. The West Coast has already begun to witness good rains and more rains are likely with Monsoon making an onset over the region.

As far as Mumbai is concerned, Southwest Monsoon usually makes an onset over the city around June 10. As per weathermen, the rainfall intensity is expected to pick up pace in Mumbai around June 8. Thereafter, good rains will continue over the city and between June 10 and 12, Southwest Monsoon will make an onset over the city.
