Mumbai rains have been on the backseat for quite sometime now and residents have been living a life without flooding conditions and traffic snarls due to rains. For the past many days, city has not seen moderate to heavy showers making an appearance. Rains have remained on the lower side due to which city has not even been able to come close to its normal rains.

Now, Mumbai rains are likely to witness an increase. A depression which is over Vidarbha and adjoining areas is moving westwards and is expected to weaken into a well marked low pressure area by tomorrow. However, due to this weather system, moderate to heavy showers are likely over Mumbai during the next 24 to 48 hours.

After two days, the remnants of this weather system will continue to give scattered showers over the city of Mumbai. Thus, weather is expected to remain pleasant over Mumbai for at least next four to five days, due to clouding and on and off showers.

During the next 24 hours, isolated pockets of the city may receive intense thundershower activities leading to waterlogging and traffic chaos. However, these rains will not be extreme enough to hinder normal day to day life. Still, some disruption in low lying areas may occur.
