Mumbai weather has remained dry for quite some time now. The residents of the maximum city have taken social media by storm in the wait for a good spell of rain. Unfortunately, during the month of May, the city has only witnessed traces of rain on two occasions.

While Mumbaikars may have lost all hope for rains to visit Aamchi Mumbai, good showers are not too far away. The capital city of Maharashtra is all set to receive rains around June 10. After this, rainfall intensity will increase even further and heavy rains will be observed over Mumbai.

Also, the possibility of on and off light rain and thundershowers before that cannot be ruled out. In fact, Mumbai may receive isolated rainfall activity between June 8 and 10 as well. The suburbs of Mumbai in particular may witness some rains during this time.

Around June 9, a trough or a feeble cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over North coast of Maharashtra near Mumbai. This weather system will increase the rainfall activity over North Coastal Maharashtra. Thus, Mumbai will finally receive some rains during this period.

In fact, by June 12, south coast of Gujarat will also witness good rainfall activity giving that much-needed relief from the scorching summer heat. Thus, by June 10, the wait for good rains will be over and Mumbaikars will finally bath in good showers.
