Mumbai has been witnessing only light rains for the past few days. Before that the maximum city was witnessing a prolonged dry spell after observing record breaking rains. The last 24 hours were also not very different when the city of dreams did record only light rains
In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Santa Cruz observatory witnessed very light rains to the tune of 0.3 mm. meanwhile, the Colaba observatory remained as dry as a bone during the same time frame.
However, rain gods are all set to bestow some kindness over the residents of the capital city of Maharashtra. Now, conditions are becoming favourable for a few good spells of rain to occur during next 2 to 3 days.

The reason for these weather conditions will be attributed to a trough which has formed and is extending from North Madhya Maharashtra to Southeast Arabian Sea across Konkan and Goa.

Thus, good rains are expected to occur in a few areas of Mumbai. The intensity of rains will be moderate at a few places, while some areas may witness heavy spells.
At present, temperatures are settling slightly above the normal levels and residents are reeling under uncomfortable weather conditions. However, with the upcoming spell of rain, temperatures will witness a drop and comfortable weather will make a comeback over Mumbai.
