Potential Cyclone to bring in Pre Monsoon rains in Mumbai on June 11

Southwest Monsoon 2019 has finally made an onset over the state of Kerala after a wait of seven long days. However, what does not seem to be making an appearance and keeping residents in anticipation is the Mumbai Rains.

The good news is that Mumbai Rains are all set to make an appearance over the City of Dreams on June 11. Usually also, Mumbai does not see much Pre Monsoon rainfall activity and these rains only begin about three four days before the onset over the city.

Similarly, Mumbai is all set to see rains on June 11 and 12 which will be light to moderate in intensity. The dry period wait will finally come to an end with showers making their way towards the city.

These rains will be attributed to a Low Pressure Area, which is over Southeast and East Central Arabian Sea at present and is likely to move North northwestwards in the coming days.

The system is expected to undergo further intensification and may even become a deep depression or a Cyclonic storm when Mumbai rains occur.

While the system will run parallel to the West Coast, it will maintain sufficient distance not directly or adversely impacting the coastal cities but only causing some good rains.

Mumbai Rains which have remained absent will finally get revived all thanks to this possible Cyclone likely in Arabian Sea.
