Mumbaikars have probably seen one of the worst days in the history of Mumbai rains as Godzilla rains of 337 mm lashed the city causing more chaos than anyone could have imagined. So much so that the residents had been praying for rain gods to take a stop for a while.
Right from hours of traffic jams to waterlogged roads, Mumbai rains left no stone unturned in wreaking havoc over the capital city of Maharashtra. In a mere span of 21 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Santa Cruz recorded a whopping 337 mm of rains, one of the highest in decades during the month of August.

Mumbaikars who had dared to go to office were stuck until wee hours of yesterday as along with massive traffic jams, the cab availability was also at its worst last night. The city that never sleeps was literally wide awake, sadly, for all the wrong reasons.
However, the city of Mumbai has recorded very less rains after late night hours. In fact, between 8:30 pm to 5:30 am today, Mumbai has only recorded 21 mm of rains. Today, the weather system will move away resulting in further improvement of conditions and reduction of rains to quite an extent.
Taking a look at the situation at present conditions, waterlogging persists in areas including Kalanagar, Bandra East. Situation has improved in other areas.
