Mumbai rainshave become quite intense now and it seems like the city is all set to see even heavier showers on September 19 and 20. In fact,Mumbai rainshave been quite intense today as well with many parts of the city witnessing heavy showers.
The suburbs of Mumbai were already recording rains since morning which did continue through the day. Rains did spread to other places as well wherein heavy showers were making an appearance in many parts of the city.
In the last 15 hours, Santa Cruz in Mumbai has witnessed 63 mm of rains. However, in the past nine hours, the observatory has witnessedmore than 50 mm of rains. Showers did become quite intense during the evening hours with lightning strikes also being a common phenomenon during that time.
The bad news is that theseMumbai rainsare in no mood to take a backseat and will continue on September 19 as well as 20. In fact, the intensity of these showers will remain on the higher side with heavy to very heavy rains making an appearance.
Water logging, traffic chaos will be a common sight due to which office and school goers will face trouble. Thus, the city of Mumbai will witness a couple of rainy days which will only spell trouble for the residents.
