Mumbai rains tend to take a backseat with a few rainfall occurrences in between when a freak weather system reaches Mumbai during the Non Monsoon months. The month of December witnessed good rains for the city of Mumbai, however, January has not so far seen any rainfall activity.
Now, Mumbai rains are all set to see some rainfall activity around January 22. Moreover, these light rainfall activities will be seen during the evening hours. There may be a few moderate spells during these times. However, these Mumbai rains are also likely to be a one-day affair.
The wind pattern is all set to change due to the approach of the Western Disturbance over the hills of North India. Along with this, wind convergence will also take place resulting in rains. A cyclonic Circulation is also over the Konkan region.
With these rains, minimum temperatures that had been settling at 19 degrees, may drop to 17 degrees or so and maximums that are hovering in the early 30s may go down to the late 20s.
