Mumbai weather has also taken a toll and the city has recorded below normal minimums for the second consecutive day. Today, Mumbai recorded its minimum at 15.7 degrees which is also three degrees below normal and also the lowest of the season.
The conditions are expected to remain the same during the next 24 hours as well. Thereafter, the weather will become warm again and temperatures will witness a rise.
Mumbai weather has remained warm and annoying for the past few days. Both minimum and maximum temperatures have remained sky high resulting in unpleasant weather for the residents of the commercial capital of the country.
However, tides have taken a fortunate turn and mornings and nights have become cool in the city. All thanks to the cool northeasterly winds which are cool and dry in nature. These winds are travelling via Madhya Pradesh here minimums are already well below the normal levels and isolated pockets in the state are also observing cold wave conditions.
Today, the minimum in Mumbai was recorded at 17 degrees which is two degrees below the normal levels. Now, we expect minimums may go down further by one degree or so.
Also, Nashik recorded the lowest minimum of the season at 8.4 degrees which is two to three degrees below the normal levels. Nashik may witness even lower minimums which may go down to a mere 7 degrees. These maximums will be less than many parts of North India including Delhi.
However, after 48 hours, temperatures are expected to witness a rise again. This change in weather will be attributed to the return of easterly-southeasterly winds due to cyclone Vardah.
