Mumbai Monsoon finally arrives after long wait, rains to continue

The much-awaited Southwest Monsoon has finally made an appearance over Mumbai after a long wait. Not only this, Southwest Monsoon has also reached a few parts of Gujarat and the Northern Limit of Monsoon is passing through Valsad, Nashik, Parbhani, Adilabad, Narsapur, Paradip, Digha, Kolkata, and Krishnanagar.

Residents of the maximum city had been witnessing heavy rains during the last 24 hours. In fact, the Colaba observatory recorded a whopping 94 mm of rainfall while Santa Cruz observatory recorded 74 mm of rainfall during the same time frame.

Now, Monsoon has also covered parts of Madhya Maharashtra including Pune and Nashik. Now, residents of the Monsoon affected regions will enjoy those Monsoon showers.

Now, rains will pick up pace over Mumbai and adjoining areas. The city of Mumbai receives the most of its annual rains during the four-month long Monsoon season. In fact, more than three-fourth of rainfall is witnessed during this period.

Three digit rains become a common affair for Mumbai during this time and there are very few days when the maximum city does not receive good rains. Now, as per weathermen at Skymet, during the next 24 hours, good rains will continue over Mumbai and adjoining areas.
